To improve situation of our students we thought about opening a library. We wanted to offer documents and books to help them with their studies and give them the possibility to read the books they want to.
For a long time we can't do this because we haven't got enough books for it. But on 15th September A.S.A.C. Donated 300 books and money to buy Khmer books, too. With the books from A.S.A.C. And the books our volunteers have donated we set up our new CLC Library. Since 5th October over 150 students borrowed about 130 books.
We are really happy to see that our new library program is such a great success and would like to thank everyone who helped us to realize it. |

During May and June 2009, CLS had the privilege of working with Rotary Dubbo, Australia. A team of 12 Rotary Volunteers visited Chumkriel to run a Health and Hygiene Project.
The three operating areas of the project were: the construction of a toilet block, hand washing facility and rubbish disposal unit, providing health and hygiene education for the community, and assisting with the organisational structure and development of CLS. .

On Tuesday April 7th, 2009 CLS had an afternoon of games, celebrations and fun to welcome in the Cambodian New Year. Over 200 students participated and everyone had a wonderful day.
An awards presentation was held and the top three students in each CLS class received prizes that had been generously donated by schools in Australia and Canada.
